Andrew Kishore is a popular Bangladeshi singer. He has been active in the Bangladeshi music industry since the 1980s. ANWAR HOSSAIN KHAN RUPOM
Anwar Hossain Khan Rupom grew up in Khulna surrounded by a musical family. His father was a singer who gave him his first singing lesson. As he grew up, he got to learn about and practice more music. In the year 1999, there was only one TV channel when he moved into Dhaka and joined a band. His songs in the project are RONGCHOTA DEYALE and PORIBESH GOMBHIR.
SHAYAN CHOWDHURY ARNOB
Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, popularly known just as “Arnobâ€, is a young singer, songwriter and composer popular among the young generation of music lovers for his fresh tune and melody in Bangladesh. He is most popular for his works of fusion between eastern and western sounds. The song he performed in this project is called ‘FOSKE JAOA SUJOG’.
BABLA KHAN
Music is in his blood. Basically he is from such a family, where music is being practiced everywhere. He got all the support he needs from his family and friends about music, especially from mother. Now he works for Black Line Production in Music Production. Songs which he sings is from deep insight his heart. Rather than composing music and writing lyric he chooses to stick with one passion which is Lalon and with this practice he wants to be one of the best singer of Bangladesh in future. His song in this project is titled AMAR HATE KHORI HAT GHORI TOMAR SHUNCHE SHUTA.
CHANDANA MAJUMDER
Chandana Majumder is a popular folk singer of Bangladesh. She practices songs of the great rural metaphysical poets such as Radharaman, Hason Raja, Shah Abul Karim and Bijoy Sarkar. She has 23 albums to her name till date. The song she has performed in this project is called KOYLA KALO AGUN JALO.
DILSHAD NAHAR KONA
Dilshad Nahar Kona is a popular Bangladeshi singer of modern songs. She gradated in Nazrul Sangeet from Nazrul Academy. Her songs in this project are RATRI KROMOSHO, SHONGSARE SHONKOT SHANGHATIK.
DINAT JAHAN MUNNI
Dinat Jahan Munni is a popular singer of modern songs in Bangladesh. Apart from singing she is an anchor in TV music programs. Her song in this project is called KOTHIN HOYTO SHAMLANO.
NOWSHEN JAHAN DUNIA
Nowshen Jahan Dunia is a young and promising singer of Bangladesh working with EK NIRJHARer GAAN. She has performed in 4 songs NOSTO HOWA BASTOBOTA, DUKKHOTE DOSE PAY DOSH, SHIKHTE HOCCHE and BATI NEVAR ONEK PORE IN THIS PROJECT.
FAHMIDA NABI
Fahmida Nabi is one of the most prominent singers of Bangladesh singing melodious folk as well as modern songs. She has a music career of over 3 decades. Nabi has won the National Film Award as the Best Female Playback Singer in 2007 for her performance in the film AHA! GOUSUL ALAM SHAON
Gousul Alam Shaon is a well-known media personality of Bangladesh. Apart from being an advertising guru he frequently works as an actor and a vocal artist. Today he heads an ad agency as the Managing Director at Grey Dhaka. His song in this project is called DOKKHIN HOSTO, KOTOTA MOSTO.
KARISHMA SANU SOVVOTA
KARISHMA SANU SOVVOTA is a singer and song-writer from Dhaka Bangladesh. She is a student of Indian classical music in The University of Dhaka. Her songs in the project are- KOKHONO MONE HOY SE, AMI EK ANTORJAM, THAKA JAI DHULO BALI, HAI HAI CHAD MAMA, MONE MONE ONUMAN.
SHOMNUR MONIR KONAL
SHOMNUR MONIR KONAL is a popular singer among the young generation music lovers. She was the winner of the 2009 “Channel I Shera Konthoâ€. Konal grew up in a music-oriented family. Her mother has been her major source of her inspiration. She went to the Kuwait branch of Rabindra Bharti University for a diploma in Indian classical music. Mahadi Faisal is a talented young singer of Bangladesh. Grown up in a music loving family he got his early inspiration from there. He got the limelight from musical talent hunt show CLOSE UP ONE. Apart from singing he has a career in strategic Marketing. His songs in the project are SHOTTO MITTHA JOTIL KHEYALE DEYAL, BONDHUR TANE.
MILON MAHMOOD
Milon Mahmood is a popular Bangladeshi singer of modern songs. He is engaged with music since his childhood. His first album was released in 2005 with own lyrics and composed music. MOITREE ISLAM
Moitree Islam is a young and talented new generation Bangladeshi singer. She got her first inspiration of music from her mother. Her first recognition in music was a gold medal in 2010 from national Education week. Only thing she wants is to sing a single song that will be loved by people. Her songs in the project are, MA CHARA, NUPURE NUPURE HALKA JUDDHO, BOHURUPI CHUPI CHUPI and GOPON KOTHA TA.
NAQUIB KHAN
A known face in the musical scene since ‘70s, Naquib Khan has been around in music scenario of Bangladesh for more than four decades now, contributing largely to taking band music forward. Born in a music oriented family, young Naquib was greatly motivated and inspired by his elder brother. Naquib has a strong philosophy and belief that lyrics play a crucial part in a song. He is the vocalist of RENAISSANCE, one of the pioneering bands in the music scene of Bangladesh. His songs in this project are KHUJTE KHUJTE KHUJE PAI, EKTA FOTA PANI and MOWCHAK VANGE GELE.
NOBONITA CHOWDHURY
Nobonita Chowdhury started taking music lessons from the age of three and half years old. She finds philosophical resemblance between the works of Tagore and the Bengali folk mystics like Lalon Shai, Hason Raja. Nobonita is a Law Graduate from Dhaka University and did her MA in Human Rights Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Journalism is her profession and music is her passion. Her songs in this project are RAJNETI BUJHI KOM, FOLITO ROSAYON and FAKA BALISH.
SHAMAYLA ISLAM PROMA
She was involved in singing from an early childhood. She sings while keeping up with the emotions of a song so that it touches people. When she is not singing or studying Electrical Engineering she can be seen cycling, practicing photography or doing whatever else comes to her mind. Her songs in this project are NISSASER NAAMTA PORE, CHAYA DEKHE HOCHCHE MONE, HATER MUTHO ROHOSHA DHAKA and SUJOG BUJHE.
RUMANA KHAN
Rumana Khan is a talented Bangladeshi Singer. She is most famous for her ‘DESHER GAAN’. She is the daughter of multi-talented cultural icon of Bangladesh Khan Ataur Rahman. Her songs in this project are ICE ICE ICE ONLY 2 EYES, UDRCHE GHORE ONEK RONGER DHULO, NIJOSSOTAR SATHE JORA TALI KICHUTA SELAI.
SHAMPA REZA
Shampa Reza had her music education in Santiniketan where she was trained in Indian classical music under guruji Pandit Druvo Tara Joshi. She believes that music is not just about singing with one’s voice, it’s a philosophy as well as a way of living. She believes everything in life has a note, a rhythm and a sound. She would stand up for anyone who is tortured and suppressed. Her song in this project is titled NIOMITO SONGGHAATE.
NIRJHAR CHOWDHURY
His basic inspiration of music came from his mother and grandfather who always inspired his passion. He was involved in music from class 5 and started composing in 2007. He studied in Clinical Psychology. Music provides him peace of mind. He is still travelling through the journey with music. He loves adventurous travel and pets.
LABIK KAMAL GOUROB
Labik Kamal Gaurob is a familiar name in the music circuit of Bangladesh. He plays and experiments with the guitar, dotara, khomok and has a general fascination with string instruments. The talented artist is pursuing his career simultaneously as the leader of the band Ajob, creative director of Bengal Music and also as a Baul fusion singer. He grew up listening to all kinds of traditional Bangla and western music. So it was a natural progress to make fusion of the two elements. He derives his inspiration from the works of Fakir Lalon Shai. He admires down to earth people.
SHAIK UDDIN SHAN
Shan a man of vision, hailed from an aristocratic family with rich musical atmosphere at the heart of old Dhaka. His unending thirst for music grew from his very childhood. During his early life, he was under the guiding shadow of his father Guruji Salah Uddin, from whom he received his first musical teachings. Since then Shan, dived into the deep abyss of music seeking further knowledge and enrichment of his own creative mind. Singing soothes his heart. He began tuning and composing in full throttle during his budding youth.
